Parkes Images is owned by Jodi Forestell and operated by both Jodi and her father Larry Parkes.
Her passion for photography started many years before she was clicking a camera shutter. Her father Larry is also a photographer, and as a child Jodi was his number-one model and helper.  At sixteen she completed a co-operative course with Lee Paterson Photography and realized that photography was in the genes. So many years later, they are still a team as Larry plays a major role behind the scenes of Parkes Images.

Since then, Jodi has completed several photography courses at Niagara College and has participated in various courses offered through The Camera Place.
She has been photographing baby and family photos since 2000 and started shooting weddings in 2002.

Preferring a more fluid style of photography than the standard staged portraiture, Jodi approaches each wedding with a creative and attentive eye. In a relaxed, engaging and unobtrusive manner, she captures the bridal couple with friends and family as the day unfolds.  "I love to let situations happen naturally and observe the beauty in a moment. It passes so quickly, so it's a great feeling to know I've captured it forever. I love what I do and I believe it shows in my work."
